Course Name: Fire Safety

Course Duration: Approx 1.5 hrs  Delivery: Online in the form of audio-visual interactive animation  Assessment: Multiple choice and can be accessed once the whole course has been completed  Certificate: Available to print once the assessment has been passed. Pass rate 67% in each module.  Course content audited by independent Environmental Health Officers. 

Module 1 – Basic fire knowledge: The fire triangle, consequences of fire, fire resistance, fire doors and exits, action in the event of a fire alarm and a fire. 

Module 2 – Basic fire knowledge Plus: Fire extinguishers and how to use them, classes of fire, fire resisting construction, case studies and law. 

Module 3 – Night porter/Personnel: Final check of premises and walk rounds, action in the event of fire and alarm. 

Module 4 – Fire marshal: Duties, action in event of a fire.
