SAFAS Health & Safety Induction – CD version  

A very cost-effective way to run your own training for waiters, bar staff, kitchen porters/assistants, drivers, packers etc.  ‘Health & Safety Induction’ provides the essentials of Health & Safety Awareness  in a simple but powerful, self-learn program which you can run on your own PC in-house. Staff can go through the course at their own pace and then complete a multi-choice exam at the end; the program allows a SAFAS certificate  to be printed off by successful candidates.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

This course is designed for all employees working in any sector of business, whether manufacturing, commerce, public sector or the service industries.

This is a one day course with a multiple choice exam at the end.  

A CIEH Certificate will be awarded to successful candidates.

 


CIEH Foundation Certificate in Stress Awareness

This is a 4 hour course, plus assessment,  aimed at raising awareness of likely causes of work-related stress, the range of symptoms and effects it can cause and the options available for its control.

  •  Stress as an occupational health hazard
  •  Identification of basic workplace stressors
  •  Development of basic controls for work-related stressors
  •  Responsibilities imposed under UK legislation

CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety

CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care

  •  Legislation

  •  Personal hygiene
  •  Cleaning

CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling

Subjects Covered:

 

  •  Manual handling hazards, risks and controls
  •  How manual handling operations can cause injury and harm
  •  The scope of legal requirements and where guidance can be found
  •  The process for assessing manual handling risks
  •  The value of risk assessment and how it applies to safe manual handling practice
  •  Manual handling techniques – lifting loads from low levels/working at low levels/lowering from height/pushing loads/pulling loads/carrying/team handling
