INSPECTIONS/AUDITING SERVICE

A SAFAS independent inspection gives you the security of knowing that your premises could pass an EHO visit – and if not, what needs to be done to meet the required standards.

We can make a detailed inspection of your premises covering:

• Current Documentation procedures and information recorded
• Legal Compliance
• Quality of Hygiene and Safety Standards
• Working practices
• Structure of the building and equipment

In fact a very similar inspection to that of an Environmental Health Officer.

If you have already put in place your own policies and procedures, then a regular SAFAS audit will test that they are being followed and complied with.  This is a useful exercise in any single-site business, but is invaluable for multi-site operations which may be out of direct day-to-day management.

COMPREHENSIVE REPORTS  

After the inspection you will be provided with a detailed report highlighting any areas of concern. Another inspection will take place 6-8 weeks later to check that recommendations for improvement have been made.

SUPPLIER VETTING AND AUDITING

As part of your ‘Due Diligence’ you need to make sure your suppliers have the same high standards as you do, and that they have carried out their ‘due diligence’ procedures to ensure that their produce/goods are of a high standard.
