ABOUT SAFAS  

SAFAS is part of Business Fitness Programme Ltd which has been operating since July 1996. 

The Safety Audit Scheme (SAFAS) is a comprehensive and flexible approach to the rigours of running a modern food service operation.  We combine years of experience in Environmental Health with a practical and pragmatic approach to business issues.  We’ll help you to run your business safely, without losing sight of your primary aims of customer service and business efficiency.

Experienced Consultants

Our Senior Consultant Margaret Goodwin BSc MBA MCIEH has been an Environmental Health Officer and a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health since 1978 and is well practised in the field of food safety and health and safety enforcement.  As an Enforcement Officer, she has held senior posts within Local Government and continues to allocate part of her time in an enforcement role.

Margaret is responsible for directing all training programmes, system development and implementation.  She also acts as Senior Auditor, in matters of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, within the company.

All other consultants hold the Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, together with the relevant Professional Trainer Certificates, issued by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Clients

Our customer base is very diverse and includes small restaurants and caterers as well as high profile event caterers and international corporations The relationship between our clients and ourselves tends to be confidential and trusting, so we have a policy of not publishing a client list. We will however supply prospective clients with more details and references when appropriate.
